Westminster Senior to Perform Viola Recital

Sarah Beth Buzzatto, a senior music major at Westminster College, will perform a viola recital Saturday, April 2,at 3 p.m in Wallace Memorial Chapel.

Buzzatto will be playing movements from Robert Schumann's "Marchenbilder" (Fairy Tales) and Franz Schubert's "Sonata" (Per Arpeggione and Piano). She will be accompanied by part-time music faculty member Katherine Miller on piano.

Throughout her career at Westminster, Buzzatto has participated in symphonic orchestra, played in the pit orchestra for several opera workshop productions, played in the string chamber ensemble and took part in the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra's Alumni Side by Side concert. She also played in the Titan marching and symphonic bands for three years, and is a member of the Pennsylvania Collegiate Music Educators Association and Mu Phi Epsilon, a music honor fraternity. Outside of the music department she serves her class and campus as a senator in Student Government Association, where she is a member of the public relations committee, a representative on Student Life and Athletic Council, and member of the College Democrats.

Buzzatto is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Buzzatto of White Oak and a graduate of McKeesport Area High School.
