Music Department to Host Guest Artist for Voice Recital

The Westminster College Department of Music will host guest artist Misook Yun for a voice recital Tuesday, Oct. 26, at 7:30 p.m. in Wallace Memorial Chapel. The event is free and open to the public.

The program of religious songs includes Mozart's Exsultate Jubilate, selections from Purcell's Harmonia Sacra, and works by various Korean composers. Pianist Marcellene Hawk will provide accompaniment.

Yun, an associate professor at Youngstown State University's Dana School of Music, is a lyric soprano and an accomplished operatic performer who has sung in Italy, Austria, and South Korea, as well as the United States.

Yun was selected by Classical Singer magazine as a Certified Classical Singer, won the audience choice award at the magazine's convention in New York City in May, and was featured in the Septembeer issue.
