Students Earn Nominations for Work in Theatre Westminster Production

Westminster College students Alicia Pabrinkis and Benjamin Portz were nominated by the Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival (KCACTF) for their work in Theatre Westminster's recent production of Getting Out.

Pabrinkis, a sophomore music education major, is a daughter of Karen Dodson of Pittsford, N.Y., and John Pabrinkis of Rochester, N.Y., and a graduate of Pittsford Mendon High School. She was nominated for her role as "Arlie."

Portz, a junior history major, is a son of Douglas and Lynn Portz of Gibsonia and a graduate of Pine-Richland High School. He was nominated for his role as "Carl."

The students will compete for the Irene Ryan Acting Scholarships in January 2010.

KCACTF is a national theatre education program that aims to identify and promote quality in college-level theatre production.
