Westminster College Concert Choir to Tour Southern California

The Westminster College Concert Choir plans to perform at four Southern California churches this month.

Under the direction of Dr. Robin Lind, a select choir of 40 voices will perform a variety of works by American composers such as Aaron Copland, William Billings, Virgil Thomson, and Rene Clausen.  The program also includes numbers from New Zealand and Kenya.

"Westminster's choir has toured extensively throughout the United States and Europe," said Lind.  "The choir is known for its musical excellence, and has a proud and long-standing tradition throughout the region."

The schedule is as follows:
Saturday, Jan. 12, 7 p.m., St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, 4575 Auhay Dr., Santa Barbara.
Sunday, Jan. 13, 6:30 p.m., Good Shepherd Presbyterian Church, 11600 Los Alamitos Blvd., Los Alamitos.
Tuesday, Jan. 15, 7 p.m., Faith Presbyterian Church, 5075 Campanile Dr., San Diego.
Wednesday, Jan. 16, 5:30 p.m., Westminster Presbyterian Church, 1500 S. Juniper St., Escondido.
