Westminster College History Day Attracts Local Students

Posted on Thursday, March 29, 2001

More than 260 students from 14 area high school and junior high schools competed in the district competition of History Day at Westminster College Tuesday, March 27.

With a theme of "Frontiers in History: People, Places, Ideas," the students entered in one of seven categories: individual or group exhibit, individual or group performance, individual or group documentary, or individual paper.

Winners and runner ups in each category, along with third-place finishers in certain categories, of this regional contest, go on to compete in the state contest, May 9-10 at Pennsylvania State University. Winners in that contest will compete in a national contest in June.
