Westminster College’s Symphony Orchestra Winter Concert Feb. 22

NEW WILMINGTON, PA—The Westminster College Symphony Orchestra will present its winter concert at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 22, in Will W. Orr Auditorium on Westminster’s campus.

The orchestra, under the direction of Dr. Melinda H. Crawford Perttu, associate professor of music, will open the concert with Mozart’s Symphony No. 25 in G Minor.

The orchestra will also perform Puccini’s Un Bel Di Vedremo from “Madama Butterfly,” which will feature senior soprano Kaylee Krug, and Dvořák’s American Suite in A Major during the concert.

The symphony orchestra includes more than 40 students and three members of the Westminster faculty/staff: Dr. Robert Knop, associate professor of physics, on viola; Scott Wignall, registrar, on bass; and Justin Bendel, adjunct music professor, on bass.
