Westminster College to Host Martin Luther King Day Events

The Westminster College Office of Diversity Services and the Office of Faith and Spirituality will co-host a series of events in celebration of Martin Luther King Day, "50 Years…Still in Search of Justice," the week of January 19.

On Monday, January 19, the Wallace Memorial Chapel will be open all day for a video presentation, "Sharing the Legacy of Martin Luther King, Jr." The video is approximately 35 minutes in length and run on a loop from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.

On Wednesday, January 21 from 11:40 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. in Berlin Lounge, guest speaker, Mr. Michael L. Wright, president/CEO of the Shenango Valley Urban League, will present "50 Years and Still in Search of Justice," followed by a question and answer session.

On Sunday, January 25 at 7:00 p.m., Wallace Memorial Chapel will host guest speaker, Reverend Jeannette Hubbard, director of diversity services, Westminster College, as she shares her perspective on "50 Years Still in Search of Equality." Her presentation will be followed by music from the Westminster Gospel Choir and Second Chance Praise Team.
