Continuing Education classes and seminars are non-credit and are open to all interested individuals for a nominal fee.  Formal admission to Westminster College is not required.

Computer classes are hands-on workshops held in the computer lab in McGill Library.

Getting to Know Your Computer will be held Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, Sept. 16, 17 and 18, from 5:30-7:30 p.m.  This introductory class will cover terminology, using the mouse, and Windows 2007, while touching on Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and the Internet.

Introduction to PowerPoint will be held Monday and Thursday, Sept. 29 and Oct. 2, from 5:30-8 p.m.  This class gets students started on how to use information from the Internet to make creative presentations.

Word 2010 is scheduled for Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, Oct. 21, 22 and 23, from 5:30-8 p.m.  The class allows students to explore the newest version of Microsoft Word and is ideal for those who have some experience with typing and using a mouse.

Introduction to Microsoft Excel 2010 is scheduled for Mondays, Oct. 27, Nov. 3 and 10, from 5:30-8 p.m.  This introductory class covers formatting, terminology, and how to use auto sum and other functions.

Personal fitness classes are scheduled in three sessions with dates ranging from now through early December, depending upon the class.  Sessions are held in the dance studio in Old 77.

Lunchtime Yoga classes will be offered Mondays from 11:45 a.m.-12:30 p.m. during all three sessions.  This style of yoga combines breath with movement to create a flexible body and calm mind.

Hatha Yoga classes run all three sessions on Tuesdays from 5:30-6:30 p.m.  Participants learn how to improve their strength, balance, respiration, and fitness level by stretching and strengthening muscles, joints, and spine.  Participants should bring a yoga mat; blanket, yoga strap, and yoga blocks are optional.

Cardio/Strength Blast will meet Thursdays from 6-7 p.m. during all three sessions.  The class is designed for a variety of fitness levels from low to high.  Light weight dumbbells are recommended but not required.
