Opera Westminster will present "Brides and Wannabes" Friday, April 8, at 7:30 p.m. in Orr Auditorium. The program is free and open to the public.
Westminster students will perform scenes from some of the best-loved operas, including The Bartered Bride, Rigoletto, Ernani, The Beggar Student, Zigeunerliebe, Countess Mariza, and Csardasfurstin.
The event is coordinated by stage director Dr. Anne Hagan Bentz, Westminster associate professor of music, and orchestra conductor Mihai Valcu, Westminster adjunct music faculty. Westminster adjunct music faculty Marie Libal-Smith is pianist and an orchestra of Westminster faculty, students, and guest musicians will provide instrumental support.
