Posted on Tuesday, October 19, 2010

Dr. James Rhoads, Westminster College professor of political science, conducted the "Introduction to Q Methodology" workshop at the annual meeting of The International Society for the Scientific Study of Subjectivity Oct. 7 at the University of Akron.

Q Methodology was invented by Dr. William Stephenson to provide a systematic study of subjectivity. The workshop was for faculty and doctoral students interested in learning more about the methodology.

Additionally, Rhoads was one of four academics who served on "Panel of Experts: Listserv Goes Live" to answer questions about Q Methodology and address theoretical issues about conducting Q-based research.

Rhoads, who has been with Westminster since 1992, earned undergraduate and master's degrees and Ph.D. from Kent State University.
