Westminster College President Dr. Richard Dorman served on the faculty of the Academy of Academic Administration June 27-July 2 at Penn State.
Dorman's session, "Leadership and Communication," discussed role theory, team building, and various leadership models for new department chairs, deans, and division leaders. A case study was presented to support the content.
The Academy, sponsored by Penn State's Center for the Study of Higher Education, blended a week-long program of seminars and case studies with a year of online education on topical issues relevant to leadership training. Dorman has been invited back to teach at the Academy next summer.
Dorman, who has been with Westminster since 2008, earned an undergraduate degree from Susquehanna University and master's and Ph.D. from The Pennsylvania State University.
