Westminster College will host its annual Passover Seder Tuesday, March 23, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. in the Witherspoon Lakeview Room of the McKelvey Campus Center.

The Seder is an intergenerational family ritual feast marking the beginning of the Jewish Passover. It is prescribed by Jewish law and based on the interpretation of the Biblical verse commanding Jews to retell the story of the Exodus from Egypt (Exodus 13:8).

Rabbi Daniel Roberts of Temple Beth Israel in Sharon will officiate. He requests participants bring an item, picture, or drawing that represents freedom to them and is an escape from some kind of slavery, as defined by the individual.

Sponsored by Westminster's Office of the Chaplain and Church Relations, Diversity Services Office, and Residence Life, the meal is open to the public by advance reservation only and limited to 75 participants.

Contact Westminster's Chapel Office at (724) 946-7117 by Tuesday, March 16, to make reservations. After the 75 spots are filled, a waiting list will be compiled in the event of cancellations.
