The Westminster College Symphony Orchestra will present its winter concert Thursday, March 4, at 7:30 p.m. in Orr Auditorium. The event is free and open to the public.

The program will include works by Sibelius, Saint-Saens, Mozart, Atwell, and Stephan. Senior music and Christian education major Jennie Smith will be featured in an oboe solo in Saint-Saens' "Bacchanale" from his opera Samson and Delilah.

The orchestra is under the direction of Melinda Crawford Perttu, who joined the Westminster faculty in August. She earned an undergraduate degree from Duquesne University and a master's from Ohio State University.
