Christopher Granger, Westminster College senior music education major, will present a piano recital Sunday, Nov. 8, at 1 p.m. in Orr Auditorium. The concert is free and open to the public.
The program includes Bach's "Prelude and Fugue XV in G major, BWV 884," Mozart's "Sonata in C minor, K. 457," Ravel's "Jeux D'eau" ("Water Games"), and Chopin's "Ballade No. 1 in G minor, Op. 23."
Granger is a son of Jon and Janet Granger of Warren and a graduate of Youngsville High School.
Granger is a member of the Titan Marching Band, Symphonic Band, Theta Chi fraternity, Mu Phi Epsilon music honorary, Pennsylvania Collegiate Music Educators Association (PCMEA), Westminster Historic Organ Program, and Student Westminster Admissions Team. He is the accompanist for the Westminster Concert Choir and Chamber Singers, serves as organist and choirmaster at Forest Avenue Presbyterian Church in Pittsburgh, and was selected one of three Young Conductors to perform with Westminster's Wind Ensemble.
