Choral Groups to Present Concert April 26

The Westminster College Concert Choir and Chamber Singers will present "Waltzing among the Roses" Sunday, April 26, at 3 p.m. in Wallace Memorial Chapel. The concert is free and open to the public.

The Chamber Singers' program will include Les Chansons des Roses by Morten Lauridsen; Benjamin Britten's "Five Flower Songs;" and Lena McLin's arrangement of "Done Made My Vow to the Lord" featuring soloist Floyd Dierker.

The Concert Choir will perform Johannes Brahms' Liebeslieder Walzer, Opus 52 with soprano soloist Kim Hasara, tenor soloist James Cochran, and four-hand piano with Concert Choir accompanist Amanda Gentzel and Chamber Singers accompanist Christopher Granger; Eric Whitacre's "i thank You God for most this amazing day" featuring soloist Alicia Tansey; and Moses Hogan's arrangement of "Ride on, King Jesus" with soloists Claudia Brown, Alison Paden, Katlyn Schroll, and Leah Timm.

The choirs are under the direction of Dr. Robin Lind, Westminster associate professor of music and director of choral activities.

Lind, who has been with Westminster since 2000, earned her undergraduate degree from the College of Idaho, a master's from the University of Oregon, and Ph.D. from the University of Utah.
