Employees Recognized for 1,006 Years of Service

Westminster College honored 52 employees for 1,006 years of combined service at a luncheon May 7 in the Witherspoon Rooms of the McKelvey Campus Center.

Employees who are retiring are: Edward G. Bender, equipment manager; David K. Brautigam, assistant professor/assistant librarian; Robert E. Fox, groundskeeper; Dr. Warren D. Hickman, professor of mathematics; Dr. G. Samuel Lightner IV, professor of physics; Dr. Patrick C. McCarthy, professor of biology; Dr. James A. Perkins, professor of English and public relations; Yvonne A. VanBruggen, director of disability support; R. Thomas Williamson, president of the College; Paul G. Wozniak, professor of accounting; and Carol L. Yova, director of continuing education and lifelong learning.

Those honored for years of service were:

40 years - Hickman.

35 years - Kathy Koop, professor of art; Ferne Layton, baker with Sodexo Dining Services; and Perkins.

30 years - Roberta Flynn, cashier with Sodexo Dining Services; Dr. Phyllis G. Kitzerow, professor of sociology; Jackie Meade, director of the Career Center; Ronald J. Pennington, custodial supervisor; Dr. Grover A. Pitman, professor of music; and D. Scott Renninger Jr., professor of physical education.

25 years - Dr. Gail L. Miller, professor of business; Carol L. Shibler, administrative assistant with Sodexo Dining Services; Dr. Sandra K. Webster, professor of psychology; and Gerald E. Yeager, cashier with Sodexo Dining Services.

20 years - Charles A. Chirozzi, chief engineer, TV and radio; Dr. Neal A. Edman, dean of student affairs; Camille Hawthorne, associate dean of student affairs; and Daniel G. Hockenberry, painter.

15 years - Kay L. Allison, secretary, McGill Library; Judith Duda, director of the student health center; Pearl A. Eaton, custodian; Dr. Charlene Klassen Endrizzi, professor of education; Dr. Martha R. Joseph, associate professor of chemistry; Connie L. McGinnis, assistant director of the Celebrity Series; Patricia G. Morris, Perkins loan coordinator in the office of business affairs; Dr. Kristin Park, associate professor of sociology; Tammy L. Swearingen, associate professor of physical education and assistant athletic director; and Bradley P. Tokar, dean of admissions and enrollment management.

10 years - Dr. John P. Bonomo, associate professor of computer science; David S. Cohen, groundskeeper; Denise M. Guthery, receptionist in the office of admissions; Richard P.
