Honor Society Recognizes "Most Outstanding First-Year Students"

The Westminster College Circle of Omicron Delta Kappa, the national leadership honor society for juniors and seniors, recognized 10 "Most Outstanding First-Year Students" at a reception April 29.

Students were nominated by faculty, based on the leadership already shown during their first year, and their potential to make significant contributions during their college careers.

Students honored were:

Christopher Bodle, a chemistry major, is a son of Kenneth and Dorothy Bodle of Clearfield and a graduate of Clearfield Area High School.

Jonathan Bodle, a mathematics major, is a son of Kenneth and Dorothy Bodle of Clearfield and a graduate of Clearfield Area High School.

Karli Champ, a media art major, is a daughter of David and Rebecca Champ of Jamestown, N.Y., and a graduate of Maple Grove High School.

Steven LaRue, a business administration major, is a son of William and Linda LaRue of Ligonier and a graduate of Ligonier Valley High School.

Noelle Nuckels, a French major, is a daughter of Lawrence and Marilyn Nuckels of Adamsburg and a graduate of Norwin High School.

Sarah Ortz, a music education major, is a daughter of William and Connie Ortz of Petersburg, Ohio, and a graduate of Springfield Local High School.

Elisabeth Seiffert, a history and international politics major, is a daughter of Dietmar Seiffert of Boothwyn and a graduate of Garnet Valley High School.

Elizabeth Valerio, an elementary education major, is a daughter of Lawrence and Beth Valerio of Struthers, Ohio, and a graduate of Struthers High School.

Margaret Westcott, an exploratory major, is a daughter of David and Robin Westcott of Erie and a graduate of Iroquois High School. 

Aaron Zavora, a mathematics major, is a son of David and Suzanne Zavora of Westmoreland City and a graduate of Norwin High School.
