Westminster College hosted the fall meeting of the West Virginia Philosophical Society Oct. 5 and 6.
Conference participants came from Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Ohio, and New York, and included faculty and students.
Dr. David Goldberg, Westminster assistant professor of philosophy, presented "Abir Taha's Hideous Masking of Nietzsche."
Goldberg, who has been with Westminster since 2002, earned his undergraduate and master's degrees from The Pennsylvania State University and a Ph.D. from Duquesne University.
Alexander Stubenbort, a senior philosophy major and a son of Joseph and Stephanie Stubenbort of Monroeville, presented "The Bible Tells Me So."
Patrick Mooney from John Carroll University gave the keynote speech, "A Night at the Aporia: The Scientific Significance of Impasse in Plato's Socratic Dialogues."
