Jennifer Davis Jones, a noted opera performer, will give a recital Monday, Feb. 4, at 7:30 p.m. in Wallace Memorial Chapel.

Her concert repertoire includes numbers such as Richard Stauss' Vier Letzte Lieder and Beethoven's Mass in C, and works by Handel, Liszt, Schumann, and Rorem.

Jones is a graduate of the College-Conservatory of Music at the University of Cincinnati and the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia.  She has been featured as soprano soloist in Handel's Messiah with the combined choirs of the U.S. Naval Academy and members of the Annapolis Symphony.

Jones has performed with the San Francisco Opera, New York City Opera, Sacramento Opera, Piedmont Opera Theater, Opera Carolina, Augusta Opera, Cincinnati Opera, and Washington Opera.  She made her Carnegie Hall debut as soprano soloist in Luigi Boccherini's Villancicos.

Nancy Zipay DeSalvo, assistant professor of music at Westminster College, will accompany Jones.  DeSalvo performs extensively across the United States as a professional accompanying pianist and chamber music collaborator.  She has made guest solo appearances with the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra, and has received the Gwendolyn Koldofsky Award, for her special aptitude for vocal accompanying.
