Dr. Phyllis Kitzerow, professor sociology at Westminster College, will give her "Last Lecture" Tuesday, April 17, at 4 p.m. in Down Under lounge, located in the basement of Eichenauer Hall.

During this academic year, several of the Westminster College professors were asked to give a lecture on their passion as if it were the last lecture they were ever to give. Kitzerow's topic is "Teach Me"

"I think a lot about teaching," said Kitzerow. The question of how to interest someone in certain information and make that information memorable seems one of the most interesting questions to me."

"I really like teaching," continued Kitzerow. "And I like teaching in the small college environment where I get to see my students in different classes over the years and sometimes get to see or hear from them years later."
Kitzerow, earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin, and her master's and Ph.D. from the University of Pittsburgh.

The Last Lecture series is part of Westminster College's Residence Life education program. The event is free and open to the public. For more information, contact Erin Heasley, coordinator for the Last Lecture Series, at (724) 946-7913.
