Westminster College Music Professor Plans An Evening of Song

Sharon R. Rotuna, voice instructor and director of the Women's Choir at Westminster College, will give a concert Tuesday, May 1, at 7:30 p.m. in Orr Auditorium.

Rotuna's soprano voice will feature the music of Bach, Puccini, Schuman, Saint-Saens, Gershwin, and the world-premier of "Response: Prisoner of Love #1" by Westminster's percussion faculty member Brett Dietz.

Her program includes three selections from Frauenlieb und Leben, "Mein Fruende ist mein" from the cantata Wachet Auf, ruft uns die Stimme, "Mon couer s'ouvre a ta voix" from Sampson et Dalila, "Adelaide's Lament" from Guys and Dolls, "A Trip to the Library" from She Loves Me, and Gershwin's "That Certain Feeling," "Aren't You Kind of Glad We Did?" and "Someone to Watch Over Me."
