The Westminster College Students Free Enterprise (SIFE) team were recognized with first runner-up honors at SIFE Regional Competition in Cleveland for their accomplishments.
This year Westminster's chapter of SIFE hosted more than 250 high school students during the annual Lawrence County Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) competition, and helped to judge some of the entries. They also conducted a five-week seminar for Junior Achievement seminar in a fifth-grade classroom in the Grove City School District.
This group is advised by Tom Rosengarth, associate professor of accounting at Westminster since 1979. Contact Rosengarth at (724) 946-7169 for more information.
SIFE annually conducts enterprise education competitions in dozens of cities in ten countries. SIFE provides college students an opportunity to develop leadership, teamwork, and communication skills through learning, practicing and teaching principles of free enterprise on nearly 700 campuses across the nation.
