Summer Sports Camps

The Westminster College Department of Athletics annually sponsors several summer sports camps for area youths on the New Wilmington, Pa., campus. General inquiries about camps can be made by calling the main athletic department switchboard at (724) 946-7307 or by email.

     

     

     



Titan Sports Experience

The Titan Sports Experience is a daily program for children entering grades 2-8 that introduces campers to the fundamentals of an action-packed lineup of activities. The day consists of age-appropriate, skill-based instruction as well as recreational games. The program promotes sportsmanship, leadership, teamwork and self-confidence while introducing the campers to activities such as canoeing, soccer, swimming, basketball, deck hockey, baseball/softball, flag football, hiking, tennis, track and field, and more. Best of all, YOU the camper, get to choose the activities you would like to participate in. An experienced coaching staff continually offers a helping hand to give campers the confidence needed to enjoy and succeed in all the activities. Campers also receive instruction through a series of special guest appearances by college coaches, high school coaches, and other great special guest in the fields of sports and fitness.

Camp dates for 2011 are:
June 20-24, 2011, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily
(cost is $110 per camper; family discounts are available)

Tiny Titan Experience (children ages 5-7 only):
June 20-24, 2011, from 9 a.m. to noon daily

Titan Baseball Camp

The Titan baseball camp is open to boys ages 8-18, led by Titan head coach Carmen Nocera. The camp is a day camp running for three hours (9 a.m.-1 p.m.) each day. Camp dates for 2011 are:
June 13-15, 2011 (cost is $100).

There will be a one-day winter baseball camp on Feb. 27 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Westminster Field House for boys ages 8-18.

Titan Basketball Camps

The Titan Basketball Camps are open to both boys and girls and take place each summer, led by Titan men's basketball coach Larry Ondako and Lady Titan women's basketball coach Rosanne Scott. Separate sessions are held for boys and girls. Click on the registration forms below for dates, costs, age groups and types of camps.

Titan Football Camp

The Titan Football Youth Camp is led by members of the Westminster football coaching staff. The 2011 Titan Football Youth Camp is scheduled for July 18-19.
This camp is for players entering grades 3-6 and will take place at the Westminster football fields in New Wilmington, Pa. The camp will go from 6-8 p.m. each day with registration starting at 5:45 pm on Tuesday. 		For information on the Titan Football Team Camp, or to register, contact:

Titan Pole Vault Camp

The Titan Pole Vault Camp is designed to improve vaulters of all ability levels, from beginner to elite. So if you have never vaulted or if you're a seasoned veteran this is the camp for you to learn and improve!

Titan Swim Camps

The Titan Swim Camps take place during three weeks annually at the Westminster Natatorium for boys and girls ages 10 and up, and are led by Westminster men's and women's swimming coach Rob Klamut.

June 17-21 (Towering Titan Grades 7+)

Titan Soccer Camps

The Titan Soccer Camp takes place each summer for boys and girls ages 5-18, and are led by Titan men's and women's soccer coach Girish Thakar.

Titan Softball Clinic

The 2012 Westminster College softball team will be conducting a softball clinic for girls ages 6-18 on Saturday, February 25, 9 a.m. - Noon at the Westminster Fieldhouse.

The clinic will include both offensive and defensive skills. Areas covered will be: hitting, bunting, base-running, fielding, throwing, and position play. They will be holding individual sessions for position play. Participants may choose one of the following sessions: pitching, catching, middle infield, corner play, and outfield.

Cost: $30/player or $25/groups of 10 or more.
The fee can be paid in advance or the day of the clinic, but since space is limited, we are asking that each participant to pre-register.

Titan Volleyball Camp

The Titan Volleyball Camp takes place each summer for girls entering grades 7-12. Teams are welcome to attend and practice as a unit. There are also half-day sessions for specialized skills. The camp is led by Titan volleyball coach Tammy Swearingen.
