SKILLMAN, N.J. - The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) has announced its 2014 All-Academic Teams. The Westminster College men's and women's teams both earned the ITA All-Academic Team award, while six Titans earned ITA Scholar-Athlete status.
Junior Lauren Fling (Norton, OH / Norton), senior Caitlin Hosler (Lititz, PA / Manheim Central), freshman Maria Pallone (New Kensington, PA / Valley), and freshman Christijana Vucenovic (West Middlesex, PA / West Middlesex) earned ITA Scholar-Athlete status for the women, while junior Mark Andino (Norwalk, CT / Norwalk) and sophomore Ethan McCarthy (New Castle, PA / Neshannock) earned the honor for the men.
The ITA All-Academic Team award is open to any ITA member program that has a cumulative team grade point average of 3.20 or above (on a 4.00 scale). All eligible student-athletes whose names appear on the NCAA, NAIA, NJCAA, or CA JUCO eligibility form and have competed in one or more varsity matches must average into the GPA for the current academic year (including fall 2013 and spring 2014).
In order to earn ITA Scholar-Athlete status a player must meet the following criteria: 1.) be a varsity letter winner, 2.) have a grade point average of at least 3.50 (on a 4.00 scale) for the current academic year, and 3.) have been enrolled at their present school for at least 2 semesters (including freshman thorough senior year).

NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. - The Westminster College Department of Athletics and the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) hosted the 11th Annual WESPY Awards (Westminster Exceptional Sports Performances of the Year) Tuesday night at Orr Auditorium. The WESPYs honored team MVPs for all 18 varsity sports teams, as well as several annual awards and recognition of top athletic achievements throughout the 2013-14 academic year.
Women's Tennis: Titans Head to Chicago For NCAA Tournament
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - The Westminster College women's tennis team was one of 50 teams that the NCAA Division III Women's Tennis Committee selected to compete in the 2014 NCAA Division III Women's Tennis Championships. The Titans earned an automatic bid after winning their second-straight Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Championship in October.
Westminster Prepares for NCAA's Third Division III Week

Women's Tennis: Titans Win, 8-1, Against Heidelberg in Final Day of Spring Trip
HILTON HEAD, S.C. - The Westminster College women's tennis team won, 8-1, against Heidelberg in its final day of its Spring Trip on Thursday. The Titans improved to 18-1 overall, while the Student Princes dropped to 2-4.
