Track & Field: Carswell, Sutton Set School-Records in Final Qualifier

NAPERVILLE, Ill. - Selected members of the Westminster College men's and women's track and field teams competed in the North Central College Final Qualifier Thursday and Friday. Senior Adam Carswell (Painesville, OH / Notre Dame Cathedral Latin) and junior Aaron Sutton (Warren, OH / Howland) paced the Titans as they broke school-records in the 400-meter dash and the 3,000-meter steeplechase, respectively.
 
Carswell broke his own record that he set twice last year as he placed third with a time of 48.84, breaking his time of 48.87. Sutton finished 22nd out of 42 runners with a time of 9:45.54, breaking an 11-year-old record held by Jacob Gleason (9:47.0).

The 2012-2013 PAC All-Sports Trophies Announced
GREENVILLE, Pa. - The 2012-13 Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) All-Sports Trophies were announced on Thursday. The Titan women's teams placed second with 63.5 points (only four points behind first-place), while the Titan men's programs placed seventh with 41.5 points.

Westminster Celebrates 2012-13 Athletic Accomplishments at WESPY Awards
NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. - The Westminster College Department of Athletics and the Student Athlete Advisory Committee hosted the 10th Annual WESPY Awards (Westminster Exceptional Sports Performances of the Year) Tuesday night at Orr Auditorium. The WESPYs honored team MVPs for all 18 varsity sports teams, as well as several annual awards and recognition of top athletic achievements throughout the 2012-13 academic year.

Kalsey Sets Outdoor Pole Vault Record at SRU Last Chance Qualifier
SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. - Freshman Marissa Kalsey (Marissa Kalsey (Waynesburg, PA / Waynesburg), a member of the Westminster College women's track and field teams, won the pole vault at the Slippery Rock University Last Chance Qualifier on Friday as she broke her own school-record with a mark of 3.97 meters.

Track & Field: Men Win Third-Straight PAC Championship, Women Place Fourth
WASHINGTON, Pa. - The Westminster College track and field teams competed in the 2013 Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Track & Field Championships on Friday and Saturday. The men's team scored 122.5 points and used four first-place finishes to earn their third-straight championship title, while the women's team finished fourth with 134.5 points. The event was hosted by Washington & Jefferson College.

Track and Field: Women Place 2nd, Men 3rd, at PAC North Quad Meet
BEAVER FALLS, Pa. - The Westminster College track and field teams competed at the PAC North Quad Meet hosted by Geneva on Thursday.  The women's team placed second out of four teams with a score of 147, while the men placed third out of four teams with a score of 162.
