Baseball: Borton's Arm and Haubrich's Bat Help Titans Split With Bethany

NEW WILMINGTON,  Pa. - The Westminster College baseball team split with Bethany in a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) home doubleheader on Wednesday. The Titans lost, 10-4, in game one, however regrouped in game two and won, 11-2.

Titan sophomore pitcher Kyle Borton (Mineral Ridge, OH / Mineral Ridge) (3-4) only allowed one earned run in Westminster's game two win. Borton pitched a complete game, his third of the season, while allowing seven hits. He struck out four batters and walked two. Westminster junior Jake Haubrich (North Huntingdon, PA / Norwin) led the offense, going 3-for-4 at the plate with a career- and game-high four RBIs. The Westminster (10-18, 7-9 PAC) offense produced the most runs since its second game of the season. The Titans scored two in the first inning, two in the second, three in the first, one in the fifth, and three in the sixth.

The Titans lost game one, 5-4, and won game two, 4-2, in extra innings. Titan freshman Nate McMaster (Stow, OH / Stow-Munroe Falls) pitched a complete nine-inning game in the nightcap.

Baseball: Watt Lifts Titans Past Thiel With Walk-Off Single
NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. - The Westminster College baseball team won, 4-3, at home versus Thiel after Titan junior Duncan Watt (Pickering, ON / Dunbarton) singled home classmate Jake Haubrich (North Huntingdon, PA / Norwin) in the bottom of the ninth with two outs.
Baseball: Titans Split With Grove City in Conference Doubleheader
NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. - The Westminster College baseball team split with Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) foe Grove City in a doubleheader at home on Saturday. The Titans won, 5-3, in game one, however, lost, 7-3, in game two after the Wolverines scored five runs in the top of the seventh.

Baseball: Titans Drop in Nine-Inning Game at W&J
WASHINGTON, Pa. - The Westminster College baseball team lost, 13-3, at Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) foe Washington & Jefferson on Wednesday. The Titans dropped to 6-14 overall and 3-5 in the PAC, while the Presidents improved to 14-9 and 9-2 in the conference.
Westminster Prepares for NCAA's Third Division III Week
NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. - Westminster will be joining nearly 450 other NCAA Division III institutions to celebrate Division III Week this week, April 7-13. This is the third year that a week has been set aside by the NCAA to recognize those member institutions whose intercollegiate athletic programs compete in D-III.
