Coach Nocera Will Step Down After 2012 Season

NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. - Westminster College head baseball coach Carmen Nocera will step down following the completion of the 2012 season after 13 years on the coaching staff.

"We are very appreciative of the many contributions Carmen Nocera has made to our baseball program during his long association with Westminster College," said Westminster's Athletic Director Jim Dafler.  "Although he was only a part-time member of our coaching staff, he always gave a full-time effort to the job, devoting countless hours and displaying a high energy level in all that he did.  He is greatly respected by his coaching colleagues both at Westminster and in the Presidents' Athletic Conference.  We will miss him and wish him and his family well."

Westminster Leads PAC with 57 Names on Spring 2011 Academic Honor Roll
NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. - Westminster College led all Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) schools with 57 student-athletes named to the Spring 2011 PAC Academic Honor Roll. In addition, the same 57 student-athletes were named to the Westminster College Dean's List for the Spring 2011 semester.

Westminster Women Place Second, Men Third in 2010-11 PAC All-Sports Trophy Standings
NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. -Westminster College athletics placed in the top three for both of the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) All-Sports Trophy standings for 2010-11. The nine Titan men's teams placed third out of eight schools in the PAC with 43 points. The nine Titan women's teams, who won the all-sports trophy the previous four years, placed second out of nine schools in the PAC with 59 points, falling two points shy of new winner Grove City.

Baseball: Westminster 2011 Season Review
NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. - While tying the best start in team history, the Westminster College baseball team nearly equaled its win total from the entire previous season in the first month of the 2011 season. That alone would signify a turnaround season, but the Titans didn't stop there. Westminster tied for the second most wins in program history before finishing second in the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC), the team's highest finish since it last won the league in 2005.

Baseball: Westminster's Tim Wiand Named All-Mideast Region by ABCA
NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. - The American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) has named Westminster College junior baseball player Tim Wiand (Pottstown, Pa./Owen J. Roberts) to the 2011 ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Division III All-Mideast Region Team. Wiand, a 6-foot-2 first baseman, earned a spot on the third team.

Baseball: Seven Titans Honored by PAC Including Three on All-PAC Teams
NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. - Seven Westminster College baseball players today earned recognition from the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) including three named to 2011 All-PAC Baseball Teams. Four others received honorable mentions for the all-conference team.

Baseball: Titans Eliminate Grove City, Fall to Thomas More in PAC Finals
STRUTHERS, Ohio - The Westminster College baseball team's season came to an end Saturday as the Titans went 1-1 in the final day of the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Championship Tournament. The fourth-seeded Titans eliminated top-seeded Grove City, 8-4, before losing to third-seeded and defending-champion Thomas More, 9-1, in the finals.
