Women's Tennis: Titans Top Thiel, 8-1

GREENVILLE, Pa. - The Westminster College women's tennis team stayed undefeated on the season with an 8-1 win at Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) foe Thiel on Tuesday. The Titans improved to 2-0 on the year, while the Tomcats dropped to 0-2.

Titan senior PAC Player of the Week Caitie Hosler (Lititz, PA / Manheim Central) won no. 1 singles, 6-2, 6-2. Hosler also teamed up with freshman Sydney Sterner (Imperial, PA / West Allegheny) and won no. 1 doubles, 8-1.

Freshman Mariah Turiano (Hollidaysburg, PA / Hollidaysburg) earned the lone shutout for Westminster with a 6-0, 6-0 win at no. 2 singles. Junior Lauren Fling (Norton, OH / Norton) battled hard at no. 4 singles to win 7-5, 6-1.

Westminster is back on the courts on Saturday when they travel to Geneva for an 11 a.m. match-up. The match will be played at Brady's Run Courts in Beaver Falls, Pa.
