Titans Collecting Donations for Hurricane Sandy Victims this Saturday

Friday, January 25, 2013

NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. - During this Saturday's men's and women's basketball games and the men's and women's swimming and diving meet, Westminster SAAC (Student Athlete Advisory Council) will be sponsoring a collection drive as well as a food/clothing drive to support Hurricane Sandy Victims.

Donations from the collection will be used to purchase Home Depot and Lowes gift cards that will be sent to Toms River Presbyterian Church in New Jersey. The church was affected by Sandy and these gift cards will assist in their repairs. The clothing and food drive will be continuing into February and these proceeds will go to victims of the hurricane who are without proper food and clothing.

Collections will be made before each contest and during halftime of the respective basketball games. Collections during the swim meet will be made before and during the two breaks in the meet.  In the field house lobby is where people will be able to find the box to place food and clothing, next to the ticket desk.

Westminster SAAC, basketball, and swimming and diving would like to thank all who donate to this great cause.
