Men's Tennis: Titans Stay Third in Conference with 6-3 Win over Thomas More

NEW CASTLE, Pa. - In its last regular season contest, the Westminster College men's tennis team defeated Thomas More 6-3 today in a home match at the North Beaver Indoor Tennis Courts. The Titans remained third in the PAC standings and go to 5-10 overall and 5-2 in the conference. The Saints dropped to 1-9 overall and 1-6 in the PAC.

The pairs of junior Sean Black (Aurora, OH / Aurora) and freshman Mike Matisi (Lowellville, OH / Lowellville) and juniors Ryan Carr (Cheektowaga, NY / Cheektowaga Central) and Marshall Finelli (Girard, OH / Ursuline) dominated in the second and third doubles' spots, respectively, each with an 8-0 win.

Westminster won big in the third through sixth singles spots. Earning shutout wins were Matisi and Carr.

The Titans will finish its season this Friday and Saturday as they compete in the PAC Championships.
