NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. - The Westminster College women's golf team hosted its invitational at the New Castle Country Club on Saturday. The Titans placed sixth with a team score of 421.
Grove City won with a score of 387, after winning the scorecard tie-breaker with Point Park. Karina Palmberg from Point Park was the medalist with an 82 (40-42).
Titan junior Morgan Pierce (Fredonia, PA / Reynolds) carded a team-best 98 (49-49) for ninth place. Also scoring in the top-15 for Westminster was senior Jenna Huston (Beaver Falls, PA / Blackhawk) who scored a 100 (48-52) for a tie for 11th.
Westminster will play at Grove City for its final regular season competition on Monday with a start of 1 p.m.
