Thursday, December 12, 2013

SOMERS, Wis. - The Westminster College men's and women's swimming & diving teams are both nationally ranked in the top-25 in the latest Endless Pools/ Division III rankings. The rankings account for meets from November 11-December 8th.

The Titan women (6-0, 3-0 PAC) are ranked 24th in the country with 595.0 points, while the men (5-0, 2-0 PAC) are 25th with 619.2 points.

The ranking accounts for teams' top performances over the preceding month and is the only objective ranking of college swimming for NCAA Divisions I, II, and III, NAIA, and NJCAA. This year's rankings utilize a new point system based on a 1,100 point scale.  The new scale uses NCAA time standards and a percentile ranking of all college times over the past four years.

Westminster is off until January 8 when it travels to Orlando Fla. to compete at Rollins College.
