Women's Soccer: Inzinga's Goal Leads Titans Over Washington & Jefferson

WASHINGTON, Pa. - The Westminster College women's soccer team won, 1-0, at Washington & Jefferson in both team's Presidents' Athletic Conference opener on Saturday. The Titans improved to 6-5 overall, while the Presidents dropped to 5-5.

The win marked the Titans' first win over the Presidents since 2007.

Titan junior Kerri Inzinga (Monroeville, PA / Gateway) scored the only goal of the game in the 9th minute of the first half as she dribbled past W&J's goalie who was attempting to grab the ball. Inzinga has three goals on the season, tying for first on the team.

Westminster sophomore goalie Madeline Frech (Leechburg, PA / Kiski Area) earned the win and improved to 4-4 on the season. Frech had a game-high nine saves in a complete game effort. The shutout was Frech's second on the year.

Washington & Jefferson outshot Westminster 15-8 for the game.

The Titans will host Bethany on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.
