High Fives: April 1-April 7

High Fives are the Top-5 performances by Westminster athletes during the previous week as selected by the Titan Sports Blogger.

#1 - Katie Hughes (Softball) - Titan senior Katie Hughes led the offense with an impressive .615 batting average that included team-highs of nine RBI, eight hits, and 11 total bases. Hughes' slugging percentage of .846 was also a team-best, while her five runs scored were second on the team.

#2 - Chelsea Brown (Softball) - Titan senior pitcher Chelsea Brown led on the mound with two complete game victories with a stellar earned run average of 0.88. Brown appeared in all four games (16 innings) and only gave up two runs (eight total) and struck out a team-high 13 batters and walked three.

#3 - Haley Gabor (Track and Field) - Gabor guided Westminster to a second-place finish at the Carnegie Mellon Invite as she won the 200 meter run (26.25) and the 400 meter run (58.96). Gabor was also part of the 4x100m and 4x400m relay teams that finished second with times of 50.73 and 4:05.47, respectively

#4 - Kyle Borton (Baseball) - Borton pocketed his first collegiate win as he went 6.0 innings and only gave up one earned run (three total) for a team-best 1.50 E.R.A for the Titan starters. Borton tied for a team-high five strikeouts and only walked two batters

#5 - Morgan Pierce (Women's Golf) - Pierce led the Titans with a score of 102, tying for fifth-place overall, as the Titans placed second out of five schools with a score of 415 at the Thiel College Invitational.

Honorable Mention: Sophomore Mike Matisi (Men's Tennis) at no. 4 singles earned the loan Titan shutout as he won, 6-0, 6-0, guiding Westminster to a 9-0 shutout over Thomas More. Matisi also paired up with Brad Thomas for an 8-1 win at no. 2 doubles.
