Cross Country: Krueger Breaks School Record in 6K at Oberlin

OBERLIN, Ohio - Senior Jennifer Krueger (Adamsville, Pa./Conneaut Lake) broke the Westminster College women's cross country team's school record for the 6-kilometers with a 25th-place time of 23:11.2 at the Oberlin Inter-Regional Rumble Saturday. The Titan women placed 17th out of 33 teams with 492 points while the Titan men placed 31st out of 34 teams with 922 points.

\Krueger's time eclipsed Brittany Kaltenbaugh's time of 23:16 set on Oct. 17, 2009.

The next highest finisher for the Titan women was freshman Jenny Jones (Erie, Pa./Fort LeBoeuf) with a 70th-place time of 24:07.3. 

Oberlin won the women's standing with 60 points. Albion's Lauren Kettle won the race at 22:23.6.

On the men's side, sophomore Aaron Sutton (Warren, Ohio/Howland) led the Titans with an 8-kilometer time of 27:19.8 for 83rd place, followed by senior Morgan Hanes (McKean, Pa./General McLane) in 207th at 28:39.7.

Albion won the men's standings while Franciscan's Bill Jones won the race with a time of 25:23.3.

Westminster will host the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Championships Oct. 29.
