Application Process

January Apply for Financial Aid by filing for a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

If you completed a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for the previous academic year you should receive a Renewal FAFSA by January 15 to reapply. If you didn't apply for aid the previous year or did not receive a renewal form, you can pick up a FAFSA at the Financial Aid Office.

You may file a renewal FAFSA online. To do this you must have a PIN AND Assistance in completing the FAFSA is available from the Department of Education.

May 1 Deadline for maximum consideration for financial aid at Westminster College.

The FAFSA or renewal FAFSA must be received by the processor by this date. Applications received by the processor after this date will be considered for Pell Grants and Stafford Loans but will not be considered for Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grants (SEOG), Federal Work Study or Federal Perkins Loans.

Pennsylvania State Grant filing deadline is May 1.

March through August Award letters are mailed out to eligible students.

Mid-May to Mid-June PHEAA Grant award letters are sent by the Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency to eligible students.

Early August Billing invoices are mailed to students for the Fall semester from the Business office.

Late August Disbursement of aid for the Fall semester.

Early December Tuition and Fees invoices are mailed to students for the Spring semester.

January Disbursement of Spring financial aid.
