Research involvement provides valuable experience for applying to graduate school or for a career in psychology. Numerous opportunities exist for psychology undergraduates to participate in research. Research projects are integrated into many of our lower and upper level classes. Our senior capstone students often ask for students to assist them in collecting data for their capstone projects. You may be able to assist a faculty member with research in their core area. Finally, all students are involved in planning and conducting research in their two-semester senior capstone projects. We have also had several students do research internships in the summer at a local college or university or through the National Science Foundation Research Experience for Undergraduates.
