Westminster College Students Earn Undergraduate and Master's Degrees

NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. - Seven Westminster College students earned undergraduate degrees and three earned master of education degrees over the summer.

Westminster grants three undergraduate degrees ? bachelor of arts, bachelor of science, and bachelor of music. Specialization is offered in 41 majors.

Students who earned undergraduate degrees are:

Grove City, PA
Derek Fredrickson, who majored in physics with a concentration in engineering, is a son of Craig and Lynn Fredrickson and a graduate of Grove City Area High School. 

New Castle, PA
Jeremy Barbati, who majored in communication studies, is a son of Tammy Barbati and a graduate of Union Area High School.

Girard, OH
Nathan Bohach, who majored in biology, is a son of Cindy Bohach and Robert Bohach, Niles, and a graduate of Mathews High School.

Youngstown, OH
Casandra Aponte, who majored in business administration, is a daughter of Carmen Colon and William Aponte, Youngstown, and a graduate of East High School.

Asheville, NC
Troy LaCorte, who majored in political Science major, is a son of Alvia LaCorte and a graduate of Waynesburg Central High School.

Elma, NY
Connor Kobis, who majored in broadcast communications, is a son of Michael and Kathleen Kobis and a graduate of Bishop Timon-Saint Jude High School.

Rosharon, TX
Lauren Yost, who majored in history, is a daughter of Thurman Yost and Donna Davis-Yost and a graduate of Abilene High School.

The Graduate Program at Westminster College is designed for professionals who seek further professional development.  The Master of Education degree is offered in education, and master teacher.  Additionally, the Graduate Program offers courses of study that lead to certification and/or licensure as a school counselor, K-12 principal, superintendent, and reading specialist.
