Westminster College Selects Grady Jones as Vice President for Institutional Advancement

NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. - Westminster College selected Grady Jones to serve as Vice President for Institutional Advancement following a national search. Jones started at Westminster April 1.
The Vice President for Institutional Advancement serves as the chief advancement officer for Westminster and works with the President to advance Westminster's long-range goals. The position directs, supervises and oversees development, alumni relations, advancement services, institutional marketing, publications, public relations, and the Celebrity Series.

Jones has nearly two decades of senior advancement experience. He began his higher education development career at Purdue University in 1995 where he held progressively responsible development positions culminating in his appointment as Director of Development for Biological Sciences. Jones served as Vice President for Institutional Advancement at Jacksonville University for seven years, and most recently served as Vice Chancellor for University Advancement at Antioch University, a five-campus national university with campuses in New Hampshire, Ohio, California, and Washington.
He earned a master's of philanthropic studies at Indiana University and a bachelor's degree in English/religious studies from Oakland City University in Indiana. Jones also completed coursework for a master's in organizational communication from Purdue University, and has a certificate of fund raising management from Indiana University Fund Raising School. A member of the Council for Advancement and Support of Education, Jones also attended three Big Ten Fund Raising Institutes.
He was honored as a Paul Harris Fellow by the Downtown Rotary of Jacksonville, Fla., and was active with the Jacksonville Humane Society, and the Jacksonville Golf and Country Club. A former deacon and elder at Covenant Presbyterian Church in West Lafayette, Ind., Jones was chairman of the founding board for the Wabash Valley Youth Symphony.
Jones, a Sikeston, Missouri, native, and his wife, Stacy, have three children.
Westminster publically launched Ever Higher: The Campaign for Westminster College last fall and has already raised more than $40 million making it the most successful campaign in Westminster history. Ever Higher is an ambitious $50 million campaign to support Westminster's strategic initiatives by increasing endowed funds for student scholarships, faculty development, and academic programs, by enhancing facilities, and by strengthening the Westminster Fund.
