College to Host Student Symposium on the Environment Dec. 8

Westminster College will host a Student Symposium on the Environment Thursday, Dec. 8, from 5:30-9 p.m. in the McKelvey Campus Center.  The event is free and open to the public.

Co-sponsored by the Slippery Rock Watershed Coalition, the symposium will include poster and oral presentations and creative works related to the environment.  Students from Westminster, Youngstown State University, Slippery Rock University, and Allegheny College are expected to participate.  The evening will conclude with an awards ceremony.

The symposium is held each December to highlight environmental study, research, artistic expression, and service work by students from the region.
