Westminster College's "Get Real!" life preparation series will present a panel on "Living Green" Tuesday, Nov. 8.  This will be the final session of the fall semester.

The panel includes: Dr. Clarence Harms, professor of biology emeritus and director of Westminster's Field Station; Corey Shaw, Westminster director of disability resources, and his wife, Valarie; and Maureen Swanson of the Learning Disabilities Association in Pittsburgh, who works nationally with the Healthy Children Project and has spoken before Congress on the issues of toxic chemicals and connections with learning disabilities.

The group will discuss consumerism, energy consumption, and share tips on alternate and natural ideas to be better stewards of the planet.

Sponsored by the Office of Student Affairs, the "Get Real!" series is a program that acquaints students with life after college.  It provides helpful advice on financial planning; banking; medical care; consumer and personal legal matters; apartment, auto, and house hunting; getting the most out of leisure activities; and preparing for lifelong relationships.

Each workshop covers a different topic and runs from 12:45-1:45 p.m. in the McKelvey Campus Center.
