Theta Chi fraternity is sponsoring an "Adopt-a-Ghost" Wednesday, Oct. 25 through Friday, Oct. 27 from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. in Walton-Mayne Union grill area.

"I got involved with the Spina Bifida Association this summer when I worked at the Woodlands, a camp owned and operated by the Spina Bifida Association," said Christopher Leas, philanthropy chair of Theta Chi. "One of my supervisors there contacted me to help with fundraiser in recognition of October as National Spina Bifida Awareness Month."

"The ghosts' have a minimum donation of $1, but we will accept greater donations. The paper ghosts will have the names of the people who donated on them, and then they are hung in the student union," continued Leas. "If you can't stop in during that time, you can give the money to anyone on the committee, Ted Merklin, Dave Fox, Lee Fetters or Matthew Slacker before Nov. 4, and we will post your ghost on the wall."

Theta Chi is one of five men's social fraternities at Westminster College. A quality point average of at least a 2.0 out of a possible 4.0 must be maintained for membership. During the academic year they sponsor Faculty Appreciation Night, help the American Red Cross with their Christmas wreath sale, and go caroling throughout New Wilmington in December.
