Westminster Women Place First, Men Fourth in 2011-12 PAC All-Sports Trophy Standings WEXFORD, Pa. - Westminster College athletics placed in the top four for both of the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) All-Sports Trophy standings for 2011-12. The nine Titan women's teams won the all-sports trophy with 72 points out of 10 schools, now winning it five of the last six years. The nine Titan men's teams placed fourth out of nine schools in the PAC with 52 points, only 0.5 points behind PAC rival Grove City (52.5). |

Baseball: Titans Drop, 13-7, in Opening Round of NCAA DIII Regionals Marietta, Ohio - Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Baseball Champion Westminster College (28-16) lost, 13-7, to St. John Fisher (30-10) in the opening round of the NCAA Division III Mideast Regionals on Wednesday. The tournament is hosted by Marietta College. The Titans, the No. 5 seed, will play the loser of game two consisting of the No. 1-seeded Marietta and No. 8-seeded La Roche, while the No. 4 Cardinals will play the winner of the same game. |
Baseball: Titans Tie School-Record with Seven All-PAC Honors; Wiand Named MVP and Nocera Coach of the Year New Wilmington, Pa. - The 2012 Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Baseball Champion Westminster College today tied a school-school record with seven players being named to the 2012 All-PAC Team, while senior first baseman Tim Wiand (Pottstown, PA/Owen J. Roberts) was named the PAC Most Valuable Player, for the first Titan ever to earn this award, and veteran Titan head coach Carmen Nocera was tabbed 2012 PAC Coach of the Year, his second of his career. |

Blocks of Titan Tradition; 400m Record-Holders Unite for Memorable Performance NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. - The Westminster College 440-yard/400-meter record had resided in Joe Stewart's family for a century. Stewart, a 1963 Westminster graduate, held the record for 50 years and his grandfather Linus, 1905 graduate, held it for nearly another half century. |
