Kimberly Lamb Winfield currently serves as Adjunct Instructor of Oboe at Westminster College. Ms. Winfield received a Master of Music degree and Performance Certificate from the University of Southern California, and worked as a freelance oboist and teacher in Los Angeles for almost a decade. Ms. Winfield has been a member of the Horizon Music Group, the Los Angeles Korean Philharmonic, the Galveston Symphony, the Houston Sinfonietta, the Clear Lake Symphony, the Doctors’ Orchestra of Houston, and has toured internationally with the New England Youth Ensemble. Locally, she has performed with the Butler County Symphony Orchestra, the Shenango Valley Chorale, and the Packard Band. Ms. Winfield is also a specialist on early wind instruments, and has performed with San Diego Bach Collegium, the Corona del Mar Baroque Festival Orchestra, and the American Bach Soloists Academy Orchestra. She was a founding member of the Baroque oboe band Le Canard du Roi and the Renaissance wind group Loud Band.
Ms. Winfield has been teaching privately since 2001, and has served as oboe instructor at the Pasadena Conservatory, the Saturday Conservatory, and the Seoul Academy of Music. Her primary teachers include Allan Vogel, David Weiss, Joel Timm, Anne Leek, and Spring Hill. Ms. Winfield is originally from Spring, Texas, and earned her Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Houston.
Ms. Winfield also serves as Administrative Assistant in the Office of Marketing & Communication and as Academic Events Coordinator for the Office of Academic Affairs.
