I have been with Westminster since 2020 and currently serve as Adjunct Faculty in Education.
I earned my Bachelor of Music degree in music education right here at Westminster College. My first teaching job was in Independence, Iowa teaching elementary music and middle school chorus. After returning home, I taught in Ohio and Pennsylvania. I earned a Master of Arts degree and a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study from the counseling departments at Slippery Rock University and Messiah University respectively. Outside of teaching, I have worked in the fields of Residential and Campus Life (University of Pittsburgh at Titusville, Davidson College, Juniata College) and Community Engagement (Juniata College). As a counselor, I have worked as a mental health therapist for the Glaeser Counseling Center at Juniata College and as a mobile crisis counselor serving the Huntingdon-Mifflin-Juniata tri-county area. Some of my interests and passions in education include the experiences of LGBTQ+ students at Christian colleges, moral development and education, career and college choice, and serving rural student populations.
