About Me

Presume competence. Special Educators have an innate ability to help their students find strength and shine their competence throughout their community. My career has enabled me to provide this opportunity to all of the students and families I have had the pleasure of serving. I began teaching at Westminster in the Fall of 2023 and am excited and honored for the opportunity to educate our future teachers.

My career started as a mixed category special education high school teacher for the Intermediate Unit. I continued as a learning support teacher at both the high school and elementary school for the Keystone School District through 2007 when I was hired as the Director of Special Education.  I retired from this position in the summer of 2020 and have been an advocate for students with disabilities since.

I achieved my Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education; Mental and/or Physically Handicapped Education  from Clarion University in1986. I achieved my Master of Education in Supervision of Special Education from Slippery Rock University in 2008.
