I am currently an adjunct professor at the School of Education here at Westminster teaching teachers how to teach reading. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and Spanish. My Master's degree is in General Education. I have certifications as a Reading Specialist, Principal, Superintendent, and Curriculum/Instruction Supervisor. I taught Spanish for four years and first grade for nine years. I was the Director of Federal Programs, Curriculum, and Instruction for 13 years for our local school district. I have been working for Liberty University as an online instructor for Reading since 2017. I love to read, garden, craft, and do volunteer work. I am a Christian and love to work for Jesus.
My dissertation for Capella University was titled Teacher Knowledge of Phonemic Awareness and Orthographic Patterns: The Impact on Instruction.
