Student Employment

The purpose of the Student Employment Program is to provide employment to those students with financial need thereby enabling them to meet a portion of their educational expenses and to assist the Westminster community by providing part-time employees to assist in the daily operation of the College. The program also serves to connect the educational experience with the world of work and affords students the opportunity to develop competencies and skills that employers seek from college graduates, such as a strong work ethic and computer, communication, time-management, and problem-solving skills, to name a few.

Job Begins

Duties:
The student web developer will report to the Webmaster. This position creates web applications using ColdFusion, HTML, CSS and JavaScript. This position assists the Webmaster with creating and implementing the design and structure of the College’s website and creating web services necessary for both internal and external purposes. Duties performed by the student web developer include artistic design of web pages, programming in scripting languages, website security and management of user access to resources.

Qualifications/Skills:
Those interested in this position should have prior web programming experience and solid computer and troubleshooting skills. They should be incredibly reliable, willing to learn, and willing to develop deep knowledge of Westminster College’s web presence.

Special Requirements:
Work study eligible preferred but not required.
