Westminster College - Duquesne University

  • 2 years at Westminster College, New Wilmington, PA
  • 4 years at Duquesne University ā€“ earn Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree

Requirements for Admission into the Westminster College Pre-Pharmacy Early-Entry Program

  • Minimum 3.0 HS GPA and minimum 1130 Math + Verbal SAT or 24 ACT Composite
  • Demonstrate evidence of leadership potential, community service, and involvement in co-curricular activities
  • Provide one letter of recommendation from either a high school teacher or guidance counselor

Westminster College Students - Qualifications and Application

  • Apply to Duquesne University by January 15th of sophomore year
  • Minimum 1130 Math + Verbal SAT or 24 ACT Composite

Program Requirements While at Westminster

  • Complete two-year undergraduate Pre-Pharmacy curriculum at Westminster College, including core curriculum requirements
  • Earn a minimum grade of ā€œCā€ in all Westminster College undergraduate courses
  • Maintain a minimum overall GPA of 2.50 or better in all Westminster College undergraduate courses
  • Participate in an interview process with the Duquesne University School of Pharmacy faculty
  • Submit a letter of recommendation from the Westminster College Pre-Pharmacy Selection Committee
  • Provide evidence of leadership potential and commitment to the pharmacy profession

Preference will be granted to candidates who meet the following criteria:

  • Achieve a composite PCAT score of 400 or better
  • Achieve a cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher in the Pre-Pharmacy Early-Entry Program
