Westminster College Announces Summer Hires

Westminster College filled two positions this summer.

Carey Anne Meyer LaSor was hired as the Young Presbyterian Scholars Program (YPS) coordinator, a temporary position that is responsible for the promotion and the implementation of the YPS program.

Westminster will award 150 four-year $44,000 scholarships for the fall 2004 entering class. Selection criteria for the Young Presbyterian Scholarship is based on the student's grade point average of 3.5 or higher, and recommendation by their pastor. One scholarship recipient is permitted from a congregation each year.

LaSor, a 1986 Westminster graduate, previously worked in the Princeton Seminary Alumni Office, and also worked as a volunteer for the Presbyterian Church U.S.A. She and her husband, Steve, reside in Greensburg with their two children, Nathan and Matthew, and their West Highland terrier, Kenzie. Renay Montgomery was hired as Titan Gift Shop clerk, and comes to Westminster from her home-based business, Don Montgomery's Auto Body, where she served as bookkeeper. She resides in New Wilmington with her husband, Donald, and their two children, Jason, a first year student who is a placekicker on the Westminster football team, and Kelsey who attends Wilmington Area Schools.
