Westminster College Offers Personal Enrichment Classes

Westminster College announces several personal enrichment and leisure courses for community residents. Continuing Education classes and seminars are non-credit and are open to all interested individuals. Formal admission to Westminster College is not required.

Introduction to Computers for Seniors is Monday through Thursday, Sept. 8-18 from 4:30-6:30 p.m. This class is designed for the beginner or as a review. It will cover the basics of navigating the computer to program menus, short cuts, and terminology.

Computers for Seniors Part II is Monday through Thursday, Sept. 13-23 from 4:30-6:30 p.m. This class is a review for those seniors who have taken the introduction course, or is a great place to start for the more advanced senior.

Yoga/Pilates Fitness Program offers several different forms of exercises and runs Monday through Thursday, Sept. 8-Dec. 18. Monday and Thursday, Total Yoga offers gentle stretching; Tuesday, Power Yoga offers advanced speed; and Wednesday, Pilates offers strengthening the core abdominal muscles, along with toning of the rest of the muscles of the body.

Yoga for Kids begins Mondays, Sept. 8-Oct. 27 from 5-5:45 p.m. It offers children an opportunity to develop strong, flexible and healthy bodies, and focuses on concentration, self-esteem, and confidence.

Handwriting Analysis is Tuesdays and Thursdays, Oct. 7, 9, 14, and 16 from 7-9 p.m. This course will study handwriting to gain an insight into the personality of the writer.
